busy bee

it's been a roller coast, but now i am a freelance makeup artist.

it's so stressful, and yet i could not be happier. today was rough. i had a fitting for the music video i'm working on in march. but the model never showed with sucked. i spent most of the day emailing or following up. which completely sucks because not one person responded. i think i was on a really good run, but i can't expect it to always be like that.
having the blackberry makes it even worse. i kept checking to see if anyone emailed me. it was like i was waiting for that phone call after the first date.
hopefully tomorrow is a better day.

bridal test

today in class i heard about an opportunity to work (for free) as an assistant on a retro inspired bridal photo shoot. instead of studying for my final, i worked on another look to send. i did some studying, but i am too tired to do anymore. i guess tomorrow i'll be up at 6 to finish up.

smokey eye

since my course started i haven't had that much time. now unemployed it seems like i have less time than before.

on thursday we started evening makeup, i had some trouble with the smokey eye.
so i spent all today practicing.

here is my results.

* the last look is eyes only. i'm still not very happy with the results. much more practice is required.

no time

i started my make artistry program on tuesday and i got my kit yesterday. so excited!!
no time to practice recently, but i will start to add looks as the course continues!

grey sweater

just look through last few posts, and noticed i'm wearing the same grey sweater in almost all of my post. i have more clothes than this, this sweater is just the most comfortable one to wear after a long, painful day at work!

i tried another look for new year's eve using the make up forever metal powder in 4.
this was the makeup that i used for my halloween costume this year.


really need a better camera, but quitting my job does not allow for any unneeded expenses.
i have four more days!!! and my makeup certificate course starts in a week, cannot wait!
